Cairns at Arikok National Park, Aruba, December 24, 2010, 1 p.m. ish My understanding of these cairns, which are everywhere, is that tourists started doing them years ago and it’s caught on. We built our own and left them there in the equatorial sun and constant wind. They’ll probably still be there in a thousand years.
